Left Right Animals
I used some of my scrapbooking stickers from Creative Memories and placed them onto a sheet of paper with 20 2 inch squares. I laminated the sheet and cut apart the squares. The Princess then sorted them into left and right facing animals.
Bug Splat! A beginning sight word game
Ok I know the picture say AN ABC REVIEW GAME, I was just to lazy to make a separate paint file that said Sight Word game-lol We spread the word cards out on the floor I call out a word and my daughter finds it and swats it with a fly swatter. When Daddy is home he calls out the words and she and I race to find the bug with the correct word on it and then we swat if with flyswatter. I left it as a power point file incase you want to change the words. But included a PDF file incase you are unable to open ppt files.

Brush Brush game
Here is a sight word game with a tooth theme to fit in with Dental Health Month. This game was not my original idea I have seen it on several websites and I am not sure which host is the original. I've also seen it on Pinterest. I just took some of the sight words we've been working on from the You Can Read program at 1+1+1=1 along with some number and color words we are working on and threw them into a tooth shaped clipart. Then I included each word on a separate tooth card to be used to play the game. Anyway here it is, Enjoy.
Pond Theme CVC Game
Here is a pond theme game to practice short vowel sounds. Frogs mats have a short vowel on them. Players choose a mat and then take turns drawing bug cards that have CVC word parts on them. If player can make a real word by inserting the short vowel on their frog they keep the card and thus feed their frog. (For example if I have the short a frog mat and I draw a bug cart that says m_p I can make map and thus keep the card. But if I draw b_x I have to place my bug card in the pond and that bug is set free. Game ends when all bug cards have been played.)
Busy Bee CVC Game
Busy Bee CVC Game. Players pull six vowel cards from a container. Players take turns trying to build CVC words on the bees using the vowels they picked. First player to use all six of their vowels is the winner. I printed mine on milk filters so we can use them on our felt board for a change of pace. The pieces could of coarse, be printed on card stock and laminated. (note the hive in this picture is a little different from the one in the file. We had a hive from a felt set we own so I didn't feel the need to print another.
Valentine's CVC Spelling Hunt
Here is a Valentine's CVC word hunt. I put heart letters in a bin mixed with rose petals. Kids pull out the letters and place them on the CVC mats. There are two versions here. One with the letters in the hearts and one without the letters to add a challenge for older kids.
